What is Spontaneity (and Why Would We Want to Be More Spontaneous?)
spon·ta·ne·i·ty \ˌspän-tə-ˈnē-ə-tē, –ˈnā-\ noun : an action taken without pre-meditation, resulting from a natural impulse or tendency.
In our youth, we may not have known the meaning of spontaneity but we sure knew how to be spontaneous. As we grew up, we were taught that spontaneity isn’t a respectable trait – it gets equated with being unreliable, flighty, unpredictable and immature. At some point, we start to believe that spontaneity is something we need to leave in our childhood to become responsible adults.
That’s a lie.
Spontaneity can be a powerful tool when you know how to wield it. But, because we’ve been conditioned to let it go, many of us are out of practice or even afraid of spontaneous moments and actions. That’s where we come in. We’re here to help you tone up that spontaneity muscle and learn how and when to flex it. We want to show you that spontaneity, at the right time and used the right way, can lead to amazing innovation, creativity, romance and ultimately, greater happiness.
Our mission is to help you tap into the power of spontaneity and live a happier, more fulfilled life.
We are the spontaneous. Deep inside, so are you.
